5 Best natural ingredients for your skin

Posted by Anusha Moodley on

Your skin is your body's largest organ. It occupies approximately 18 square feet and weighs about 8 pounds. It's also your first defense against disease and illness.

When you take good care of your skin, you can slow the aging process and keep your skin younger for longer.

Buying skin care products can be a task, with all the amazing products to choose from and the not so good ingredients to avoid. Look for products made with these natural ingredients that nourish and boost your skin's health.

1. Coconut oil

Coconut oil contains antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antioxidant properties. It also strengthens skin, helps in removing dead skin cells and protect you from sunburn.

Raw Honey

Raw honey contains loads of nutrients, enzymes, vitamins, and skin-boosting acids. It also has amazing antiseptic properties that help to reduce scars and is a great skin moisturizer.

Sea Salt

Sea salt is loaded with minerals and nutrients like magnesium, calcium, sodium and potassium which helps balance, protect and restore the skin.

Shea Butter

One of my favorites!! Shea butter is an excellent moisturizer and works well providing deep hydration to very dry skin.  Keep an eye out for our ultra-hydrating body butter launching soon :)

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil has a high amount of ceramides, which cover the skin cells and are responsible for their hydration. It gets quickly absorbed into the skin and helps in preventing moisture loss.

I've touched on a few benefits of each natural skin care ingredient. If you would like to know more about natural skin care and our new products, leave a comment and ask away!
